About Us
Founded in 1963 by Brian Sharp and his wife Bobby, Allen Fabs (as we are always known!) began by constructing covered yards and barns for local farmers in the Vale of Evesham. From small beginnings we are now celebrating over 40 years of manufacturing high quality industrial and farm buildings for clients in the Midlands and South Worcestershire.
Whilst Brian and Bobby remain as directors, the company is now headed by their son Craig Sharp, an engineering graduate, who is supported by strong management, design and construction teams.
The company ethos remains the same as when it began: we believe that the relationship with the client is paramount.
Drawing Office
Our spacious and well-equipped offices have three StruCad structural detailing stations, where clients’ individual requirements are assessed and accurate drawings produced accordingly.
The 3D modelling capabilities of the StruCad detailing system offers clients the opportunity to visualise proposed projects in the planning stages and modify features or sizes as desired.
With certain Sub-Contract elements (e.g. Cold Rolled Purlin & Rail sections) we able to produce CNC data directly from the 3D model to download directly into their machines to enable the quickest turn around available, with the bonus of the virtual elimination of errors.
3D Visualisation
The latest release of the StruCad software we utilise for detailing now allows use to distribute our 3D models and all associated detail drawings electronically to all parties of the construction team.
The 3D viewing software ‘Struwalker’ and the 2D drawing viewer software ‘SPF Viewer’ are available as free downloads from the software developers web site AceCad Software Ltd.
Health & Safety
Allen Fabrications Ltd are committed to the highest possible standards of quality, occupational health and safety and environmental management.
Continuous improvement is a key aim. We have an active management programme which sets objectives and targets at all levels of the company to improve our quality, safety and environmental performance.
Staff training is recognised as a key factor in the achievement of these goals and we have an active and extensive training programme for staff at all levels which include recognition of the MCG target of fully trained site workforce by 2004 and a project to obtain NVQ qualifications for all factory personnel.
